thanks for the tip. I will have my clutch cable removed and lubed with silicone grease this weekend. will spray it first with silicone oil then add some synthetic lithium grease and try it out first.
be careful with silicone oil / grease . i don't think it's for a metal to metal application. white lithium grease would be better.
got it. will use this grease first

after spraying a generous amount of the White Lithium Grease on the clutch cable (did not remove the cable from the pedal), the pedal feel became much much softer. Here is the problem, after several km, the clutch pedal became difficult to step at again. i do not think that the clutch system is sliding at all.
so i guess i have to spray more white lithium grease on to the cable?
