I got a different answer from Little Jimny on the general chat bit. He agreed 23/26 was still correct and they do look soft. I think 50 may be a maximum. When I first got the Jimny the dealer had put 30psi in all tyres and the ride was really hard. I may try the chalk line thing and see what that gives on a road.

A strip of 25mm masking tape across the tyre might be better than chalk. Worked for me!

When I got mine it had 45psi all round! Twitchy to say the least...
I run my Geolanders with 23psi all round. They do seem soft but seem to last well and the on road handling is ok, although I spend most of my day in places like this...
