Also check the wires on the tranferbox there is a switch that operates the solenoid to allow the hubs to lock in

I did think it must be something to do with the transfer box but I'm not 100% as to where I'll find the wires  I had the engine running when I checked whether the hubs locked in or not.

Where the rear prop comes out there are to items with wires one the speed sensor and the other is the 4wd switch i think its the top one of the to
Best thing to do is pull one pipe of at atime where the front trailing arm bolts to he chassis and ge some one to select 4wd and see it is sucks on your finger on pipe sucks on and the other sucks off the hubs
On the inlet manifold after the throttle housing on the left hand side as you look at it there is a small pipe about half way down that some times splits

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

If the vacuum system is faulty, the green 4wd lamp will flash. As it isn't doing anything, the fault is most likely the switch on the transfer box, the wiring to it, or a fuse.
If you can find the 4wd controller, pin 7 which is blue/black wire connects to the switch, reads 12V in 2wd 0V in 4wd. Sticking a pin through this wire will let you meter it, grounding it should activate the hubs and the green light.
Probably easier to look for a wire off at the switch on the transfer box though.

I had same problem first thing I checked was the switch on transfer box but that was fine & never did find the problem so just solved the problem the best way by fitting manual hubs
