He did say the dog was small though?? The other reason may have been back problems or disability of some sort then I thought if he is considering lowering it he can't be that immobile?? lol

You could get an air ride kit fitted, then when the dog wants to get in dump the air lowering the car, then push a button and its back at standard height

There's a lad up north that will do it for £10.00 as long as you bring your own black bag and shovel ...........
