Bleed valve sizes for front and rear brakes was created by GuardianAngel
In an attempt to replace my flexi-hoses today, I rounded off one of the bleed nipples on the front caliper

I have Googled around to see if I can get replacements, and came across this site:

So my question is, what size do I need for the front calipers, and in anticipation of it going wrong on the rear brakes, would these be the same size?

I guess as a last resort I could, but if anybody knows the sizes, I can get replacements.

There are only a couple of metric sizes, pop down your local motor factor and get one of each.

If you have rounded off the nipple, likely you will simply shear it off anyway when you try to remove it.

Give it an extreme wire brushing and spray with penetrating oil (plusgas/diesel even GT-85 at a pinch, not WD40) every day for a week, then pray really hard to your favourite deity as you gingerly try and undo it.

On a rear I would pop the rubbers out and warm it up around the nipple with a blowlamp. On a front I'd try the penetrating oil first, then when I'd sheared it off, pop the rubbers and warm it up and use an easyout on the base.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Years ago to help remove bleed nipples that where surrounded by rubber, plastic etc that could be damaged by "FLAME HEAT" we used to pour boiling water over the part. This worked more times than not
