Fan Belt / Power Steering Belt

Power steering looks the same as mine, a 4pk850 should do it. (My 860 has run out of adjustment and is just about working, but squeals if it gets wet)

If you have 2 cars, take the original off and take it with you to compare with the new one.

You can remove the belt by threading it through the fan. (The adjuster wheel pivots and has a hexagon hole in the middle to wind on tension when refitting)


Isn't my Jimny rusty compared to yours

Think I'm going for the 4PK850 on the power steering.
I have motor factor at the end of the road, I'll take a walk & see what they have in the book ....... :whistle:

I have been around, reading this forum for awhile, since I own a Jimny 2006.

Now I have to change the generator belt and I have AC, so I guess its a good idea to change that belt too...

I have read in the workshopmanual, but everywhere I read its sooo simple...-Yeah right...It looks like I have to remove the cooler to do this!!!

CAn anyone give a hint how this is done in a simple, understandable way? -Yes, I have seen the youtube film with the french speaking guy, but I dont understand french and the film is not very well done, if you need help!

Sorry I can't help with the a/c but I followed the advice of Renard of releasing the top radiator fixing & managed ok.
Totally removing the radiator would I know give you more space, see what others have to say, good luck ....

Yep, the AC is the big problem. It complicates everything eaven moore, since there is so little space!

Its strange that there is no info around about this, since there are many Jimny-owners. Or maybee they think this is a simple thingy...
