Is the battery going flat? does the interior light work? the backup power for the immo is on the interior light circuit and that must be powered before the ignition is turned on. Are you sure that you are using the same key every time?

Hi,"BATTERY'S OK,INTERIOR LIGHT OK, and i only have one KEY that was issued to me and that was the last time I took it to the local Suzuki garage 12 months ago to try and sort this problem out, unfortunatly it didn't,it's happened three times in the last 3 days, waited 5 to 10 mins the management light stops flashing and the jeep starts, sometimes I have to waite an hour or more before the engine light stops,in the past iv'e fitted a new camshaft sensor, that didn't cure it,could it possibly be a bad Earth, only it seems to get worse when the weather gets wet,or I'm I just clutching at straws?,on a number of occasions iv,e called the AA guys out,but to their astonishment,as much as they've tried they just couldn't get any SPARK.hence the reason for fitting a new CAMSHAFT SENSOR, I just don't know what to do next, thanks for your last reply.

Id suspect crankshaft sensor not camshaft sensor. If yours is a dohc the sensor is underneath the alternator and theres a water test you can do,have a squirty bottle of water to hand in the car and when it next does it pull over leaving the car running pop the bonnet and squirt water on the sensor if normal running resumes theres your problem.i had one go on mine sounded similar to your problem new crankshaft sensor solved it, got one off ebay 25quid I believe.

If you have a Check Engine Light and an immo light then its important to note which light is flashing. Most OBD2 ECUs will flash the CEL when there is a major failure of one of the engine management systems. The immo light will only flash on key on if the vehicle is immobilised. The immo only communicates at key on so if you are driving and the vehicle becomes immobilised then that implies that there has been an interruption to the main power feed, something like a loose connection to the battery may cause this. It should clear when you turn the ignition off and then back on again.

Hi, My Engine is the G13BB and it only has the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT,when I go to start the jeep and turn the key the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT comes on,the jeep starts and ticks over for about 20 sec and then cuts out due to the lose of SPARK, its then the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT starts Flashing,When the light stops flashing the jeep starts and turns over again, ive no problem with the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT when the jeeps running its always after the ignition's been turned off. After my last viset to the Suzuki Garage the only thing they did was to issue me with a new key and recoded it, other than that they never did anything else, and I still have the problem, hoping someone may be able to "HELP".Thanks for your last Reply RINO.
