I'm in the same boat, i put about £40 a week in, and i get £10 back a week from work. If i could even save £10 a week i'd be happy. Only issue is that if i had £800 to spend on the Jimny i'm not sure it would be on something sensible like that  . The maths adds up though. If you could pay it off in a year it makes a lot of sense.

As you've already identified though there's not an awful lot of options for the tank. If you split the tank its not going to hold much of either fuel. I'd not be too comfortable with it in place of the stock exhaust either having belted mine while off road.

Black Jimny's don't get stuck!

Well I don't really have a spare 800 either but I do have a credit card and I'll use the fuel savings to pay for it that way....

As for location I would like it underneath and then make up a guard for it of it looks like it might take a bashing.

Want to keep it outside of the of truck as got plans for the inside for a mounted compresser and air tank to run air tools off of.

Difference may be single and multipoint injection, I used to have single point injection on my old pajero, gas builds up in the airbox and you know when it blows back! ;-)
Running on single point was fine.
Multi point injection involves a'lot more fitting so is dearer.

Liquid injection seems to be the best but much more expensive. Here in Oz we get a $1250 subsidy from the Government so it usually only costs about $350 for the conversion.

I'm thinking of the conversion and the 80 litre tank but haven't booked it in yet.
