The trouble is both those Jimnys are not really lightly modified, they are quite comprehensively modified to achieve the simple look.
According to the site, in order to run those tyres the first one has a 6.1 Samurai T-case, front and rear HD axle shafts and CV's. 4.57 R&P's with front and rear ARB airlockers. 1600-16v engine with 2WD Vitara main case. 4 inch D&G suspension kit and a 3 inch bodylift. HD front and rear radius arms with castor correction. As it is a DGTuning built car it is very well built, but took the Gross National Product of a small African country to finance.
The other one is also listed as having an SJ T-case, this time a 4.16 Rocklobster, so again its becoming a more major build. It has a DGTuning plastic bumper behind the winch bar, I cannot see who made the winch bar

I guess that's me all over  always wanting a bit too OTT.
Ok if I was to step it down a bit (at least to begin with).
1. Do you know what make of snorkel is on those Jimny's?
2. Using stock rims, what sort of size tyre can you go to without the need to regear?
2a. What size tyre if retaining stock suspension? And if a small lift was added (say 2") what size tyre then without having to sort out the gearing?
Thanks.

stick with 195/15 mud terrains on std rims, theyre slightly taller than standard and will get you further than you think, the snorkels a TJM Airtec one and Martin sells then on here, stock expected soon i believe - i had one on my previous jimny and they fit well and are really tough.

We run 215rx15 on standard rims (well slightly wider daihatsu rims which equates to a 29" tyre. this needs a 2" suspension lift and very light bumper edge trimming. Some go for trimming the wheel arches completely but we didnt
I believe Martin runs 235x70's although a common swap is to go for Vitara 16" wheels and fit Landrover tyres (but you may need to lift the body too.
We run 215's and to be honest this is about as large as the little 1.3 can cope with on standard gears.
5th gear is rarely used and we frequently drop to Low Box when fording / doing any offroading. Mainly for the control. It would be nice to go lower but then you have to look at swapping TX boxes or ratios

Naah, still running Goodyear Wrangler MT/R 235/75 R15 tyres....
...I have everything ready for some nice R16 tyres, except the money
Just when I thought I had the money I seem to have got some new bedroom furniture instead
