@Gymknee, I googled up this link for PPI services from the RAC . I assume with "Royal" in the name that this is the service Charles uses for his used car purchases. Anyway I am passing it on in case useful, at least it will show you some PPI pricing to give you an idea.

A fleet vehicle that spent all its time at the seaside -- that is a bad combination for a Jimny. Or most any car, really.could be it was used by the RLNI in a previous life

GOOD CALL!
Combining my low mileage, hard life off road and then Darthblaker comment on RNLI turns up this.....
Correct tyres, correct wheels, correct tow bar, KS registration (Northampton) which is a very close registration district to Suzuki UK HQ.
Will have had virtually no miles but would have had young lifeguards with feet on the dash and kit in and out. This one has had a hard life in salt water - avoid like the plague.
Well done everyone, this is the power of the forum
Martin
2003 M13 early KAP build.
3" Trailmaster lift with 1.5 Spacers on front
Customised winch bumper and roll cage
235/85R16 Maxxis Bighorns on 16" Rims, 4:1 Rocklobster, Rear ARB locker and on-board air
Corrected arms all-round, rear disks, Recaro seats and harnesses

I think a reason for it's low milage could be it was used by the RLNI in a previous life? I've seen a few on Google in the same colour, year and similar reg. (starts with K) as well.
Personally I'd avoid as it looks like they've done a shoddy job with the underseal, getting it on the exhaust, only second to the fact the car is in Birmingham

Lots of good points raised everyone, thanks for all the help.
Hopefully I'll have another post soon about my first Jimny purchase!

Mine was used by a security company in near Swansea in a former life, you can still see markings from the old livery in the right light.
Explains the high milage, 90000 in the first 3 years on the road up and down the M4 to Reading if the paperwork left in her is correct.
Importantly it wasn't undersealed by a blind man!

Tbf I would never buy a Jimny with underseal
Unless seller can show me progress photos before, during and after
I only use paint on mine
Rear body mount on my 2004
Owned for last 10 years and washed well after every off road trip

I agree about the underseal - I’d rather see it at its worst than have it covered up.
I did the underside of our gen 4 with bilt hamber dynax uc.
It’s great stuff - easy to apply and clear. Adds protection while still being to see what’s going on underneath.
