They're no better or worse than any other new car as far as I can see. And being new you won't have wear related things to worry about, just abuse related stuff.

What I mean by that is if you just mall crawl with it like you would a golf you won't have the same issues as if you rock crawl in it like its a side by side.

I have never owned or know of anyone else who have had problems with kingpins in their vehicles.
Nearly all makes and models have kingpins designed to last the life of the vehicle.
Suzuki is the exception, Jimny's have this inherent design problem leading to the well documented Death Wobble!
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, If I knew as much about Death Wobble before I bought my 2006 Jimny I would not have bought it!
Once again in hindsight with what I know now I would have been on the look out for indicators of potential Death Wobble, the first sign of oil leaking from the Swivel seals is usually a precurser to potential Death Wobble.
My advice would be to address this immediately as you need a new diff seal and at the same time replace the kingpin bearings and ensure they are preloaded with the appropriate shims. If this is done as required the risk of Death Wobble should decrease.
The design fault will not be solved however living with it may be acceptable to most.
Would be great if Suzuki came to the party and contributed to the cost of maintaining a wobbly Jimny!
On a related matter has anyone had experience with adjustable Kingpins? They would make the tedious task of preloading kingpin bearings a lot easier.

I'm puzzled as to why you still think the Jimny "has issues" with wobble.Might be good advice, was considering buying a new 5 door but this wobble issue does not give me a lot of confidence in buying another Jimny. Do they have any issues?
Your car was completely knackered, shot, kaputt. You, or a previous owner, had not done maintenance or even basic checks -- for years. The "issue" wasn't a design flaw. The Jimny didn't fail, the owner did.

I understand that you feel you have somehow been mislead into buying a car that you don't get on with and are trying so hard to find someone to blame, I get it, my dad is exactly the same with our land cruiser, however in the interest of this thread not degenerating into a fight with people's feelings getting hurt it is now locked
