Death wobble virus HELP was created by Conev
Hello brothers !
Sadly i am trapped in the death wobble problem and its terrifying .. So i have a 2002 jimny manual M13a and when it was stock the death wobble was there but not much .. it was only at around 75 km/h and if you speed above that or under that was gone .. After i lifted the vehicle 2" inches with black raptor lift kit and i fitted 8" steel wheels with 215/75/15 tyres . Now every time i fall in an uneven terrain from 40-90km/h the whole car is wobbling and the steering wheel trebles like crazy .. it feels like the wheels are gonna leave from the car . And its not stopping until i fully stop or magic happens and stop on its own when it wants to .. It is important to say that i have not taken the car to steering alignment since i lifted it and changed wheels .. i will do it this week but i think it will not resolve my problem because the death wobble was there before modifying the car .. Also a steering damper ironman 4x4 is fitted and 1 month ago the ball joint on the front left wheel was oiling so my mechanic fixed it .. What are your opinions?

Death wobble can be caused by a number of factors, wheel width being one of them. 8" rims with 215/75-15 tyres is a no no. Max. width for those tyres is between 5.5J and 6.5J with 6J recommended. You haven't mentioned offset and that can also effect the issue.

Always start by looking at the Kingpin bearings. These are the prime cause of death wobble.

If as you said it was already exhibiting signs of wobble then it will be kingpin bearings. Modified wheels and lift will only make it worse.

Mine is back in the wobble zone
This is my plan of action
1, change all 4 tie rod ends
2, new panhard bushes
3, kingpin bearings
I doubt it will be bearings. new ones ~1500 miles ago
So option 1 or 2 should fix mine....or not
If not i always change kingpin bearings on both ends regardless of any show of oil

I doubt for the problem to be coming from the wheels because when i had 5.5j wheels with 205/70/15 tures the wobble was the same
