Tpms sensors? was created by Lambert
Assuming I was about to have a rush of blood to the head and decided that I want to have tpms sensors in my spare wheels do we know which type or protocol is used on the late gen3? I don't think I hold it in enough importance to want genuine unless they are like 20 quid each which is unlikely but some off brand ones that could talk to the system could be great.

Yes, mine is a Gen.4 but I fitted sensors I bought from Jimny style at about £40 each. If you can break the bead, just one side, they are easy to fit and within 2km they had "talked" to the ECU and all was OK.

We have just used the cheap eBay ones at around £9 each. Having pointed lots of people at them over the last two years I decided to use them myself.

They are sold as being Suzuki compatible and they are. All fitted ok and working perfectly. They are exact clones of the original Continental ones that Suzuki fit. Probably complete fakes or at best unmarked ones from the back door of the original factory.

The wheels are unmounted at the moment so that is easy enough. Are the ones you have totally generic ones or off brand Jimny/Suzuki specific?

The ones from Jimny Style are marked "Continental" and are claimed by JS to be generic and OE. Note that they have the gubbins encapsulated so the battery cannot be replaced.
