Has anyone driven their Gen 4 Jimny in the high winds we've had?
l had to go out in ours to pick up my wife on Friday (during the storm) because she became stranded at the train station.
Far from being "blown around like an empty paper bag" the Jimny didn't do too badly,

While I might contend that the gen3 is a bit better shape for high winds I admit it is only marginally, that said I definitely an notice high winds especially emerging from shelter into a side wind but not enough to consider it a major issue issue. Also compared to the high top transit I used to drive in a past life it's nothing.

Sorry it's not a G4, but I drove to Anglesey this Friday and then around the island looking at the waves etc.Drove home today.
Did not get blown around on the M6 /M56 / A55, so no noticeable problem if you drive to the conditions. I kept the speed lower at about 40mph on Anglesey, mainly as tree debris littered the road.
Just a weekend break planned months before, it rained continuously !

Head on high winds will dent performance but side winds are dealt with surprising well.

Driving you say?
I'd my Jimny safely parked under the carport until that roof and beam was hit by two large falling oak branches. Destroying the roof and a very, very large beam. The roof collapsed and bent down, the beam cracked and it all went down under the massive weight. Until it stopped, less than an inch above the Jimny! Let's put it this way: higher suspension would have caused damage to the roof. Pfffff.
We lost 15 trees (over a total of a few thousand, no bad score); 8 were on the nomination to be felled in March, 7 were unexpected, the oak being one of the unexpected: it was hit by three other falling trees and -as said- two branches broke off.
A professional tree-worker had a day's job yesterday playing 'jenga' with the branches and trunks!
