As well as Peanut Butter, another cheap but effective product is standard 'Ground Nut Oil' - as used for cooking. Easily sourced from your local supermarket or grocery store - it's simple to apply, leaves a factory-like finish and lasts just as long as many other specialist products. Well worth trying out - I was surprised at the results!

I like this idea - I think liquid oil will also be a lot cheaper than the silicone spray cans. I use about three cans at a time.

l had a similar issues with the black plastic parts on my Land Rover Defender.
Front grille, headlamp surrounds, mirror housings.

l know it's a risk, but l took them off and sprayed them
satin black with aerosol spray paint.

They look better than new and the finish has so far lasted over 40,000 miles and hasn't faded or peeled off.

Not sure l would risk it on a full bumper though! How much is a new bumper for a Gen 4 Jimny?
