Keeping bumpers black? What do you use? was created by Groenewald
What product or method do you guys use to keep the bumpers black?
I am looking at using Spanjaard Silicone Spray.
I have used Silicone spray on my bikes in the past. I had a red KLR650 years ago. With time their plastics tended to go pink. A guy at an offroad bike shop suggested using silicone spray. When I sold the KLR its plastics still looked brand new.
Silicone spray lasts for one or two washes after which it has to be reapplied.

Having painted bumpers it's not really a problem on the gen3. In the past however I have tried all manner of snake oil treatments and none of them have ever been particularly long long lasting so I have given up trying and just accept that plastic ages.

I guess I will keep to the silicone spray and stop washing my Jimny every two days

After spending a lot of money on various lotions - try peanut butter - the smooth variant - from a discount store. The oils do a superb job and it buffs up nicely

I have some doubts about this in my case:
Our latest family member is a sort of Bullterrier / Jack Russell cross with itchy teeth...
