What's in your Jimny EDC Kit? was created by Groenewald
I am going to hold off a bit on the major mods like suspension and the like.
For now I want to kit out the interior, so I would like to know what standard equipment / kit you permanently carry in your Jimny?
For now I am looking to get:
* Small Toolbox
* 12 v Mini Air Compressor (How are these on the stock battery?)
* Any and all other stuff suggested....

This will largely be dependent upon the country you live and intended off road use. Pay n play, rural lanes or outback expedition.
Living in the UK (it's small and crowded) I carry a first aid kit, Fire extinguisher, walking clothing, mobile phone and my RAC breakdown card.
So far in my years of Land Rover / Jimny ownership the only ones I have needed are the RAC and phone, and yes it was the Land Rover :blush:

If you are going to lower the back seats on a more or less permanent basis, have you thought about removing them completely and fitting a made to measure box? This way you can fill the box and load gear on top of it.

I made a rear box for my Gen3 and carry:
- First aid kit;
- Folding shovel;
- The tow bar;
- The standard jack;
- Warning Triangle
- Electric Pump and pressure gauge;
- Full range of 1/2" sockets and socket wrench;
- Impact socket (for the wheel nuts);
- Breaker bar (long socket wrench);
- Grips;
- Electrical tools, small sockets, etc;
- Spare drive belts (mine came off outside the house);
- Bulbs/fuses;
- Torch;
- WD40 and Lithium spray;
- Hat and gloves.
About the only item used so far when away from the house is the hat and gloves.

Because lightness I only regularly carry enough to change a wheel and the green flag number in my phone. Everything else is on an as necessary basis, it's pointless carrying for any eventuality as you are never going to have what you need unless you bring Everything you have. So therefore whats the point of weighing the car down with the wrong stuff. Simplify and add lightness!
