Who’s good to insure Jimny with , recommendations please. was created by Barry silver SZ5
Any broker or company anyone found particularly good, Jimny or 4 x 4 specialists and with keen honest price ? In UK New SZ5 Another car club I am in I saved a lot on recommendations going to a specialist broker but car is about as opposite to a Jimny as can be. Or do I just stay with the big well known names.

Insurance is a bit funny, what is good for one will be bad for another. It really is a case of phoning around to get the best price for you.
They are all pretty bad when it comes to paying out, so you may as well go with the cheapest that provides for your needs.
Adrian flux can be good for some, but best to phone them up for the best deals if you have the time.
I don't have any issues with "compare the market" type sites, I usually get competitive insurance this way from known brokers. You can always phone them and try to get it cheaper. Its not the best route if you have a heavily modified Jimny, the sites don't have tick boxes for lifts etc, but it does give you an idea on who is competitive, then phone them.

l am with Adrian Flux and they were a bit expensive for the Jimny, but l was three months into the policy on a Land Rover Defender so it was still cheaper to go with them.
l've found Direct Line to be remarkably competitive recently, it might be worth giving them a call as well.
Also if you have the new model Jimny it may be worth looking at Gap insurance, because you certainly can't get a Jimny for the book price at the moment.

I'm with LV, I was with them for previous car when I got my GEN4 and just swapped it over. I have since declared each Mod, KC Spot Lights, all under body protection, front and rear recovery points and suspension lift. Not once have they increased premium or wanted any admin fee for the updates.

I am with Esure.
I have had my own car for the last 18 years and a company car for the last 25 years, but couldn't take the no claims bonus from the company car when it went back last year and I bought the Jimny and neither can you share a no claims bonus across more than one vehicle.
Multi-car policies were no good either, I am with someone else for my other car.
