Hi Lambert going to try heat shied tape and clamps but if that does not work will go down that route. Also noticed that aftermarket systems do not include heat shields

Remind me what rain/damp grass is!!!! Thanks for reply

Ah Ok, never seen them, well not on my Jimny. Most of the exhaust post cat is behind my transfer guard and the bit to the rear silencer is not that hot in my opinion.
I have used exhaust tape on my son's MR2 to replace the heat shield on the manifold section, it worked very well at controlling the heat, I used an infrared temperature gauge to check it's performance. That said however I doubt it's going to last in an off road environment, it's a bit fragile.
Not a problem for the MR2;)

Yokohama Geolanders, Sony head unit, NAUTILUS Air Horn, DRL conversion, Rear cargo space, Elvis Bobblehead, transfer Guard, Indian hanging Elephant, Koni Heavy track dampers, Custom SS exhaust, Voodoo Doll, Adventure Rack with LED ight bar, vintage ERIBA caravan usually attached (yes it's slow)

OK. Thanks for info. Guess a lot just fall off without you knowing and it seems to make no difference. Tape seems to be be the answer if you bother at all
