I always assumed it did not have a low fuel light until today - too many gizmos!

I'm certain pre 2005 they don't have a fuel light as none of mine have and I've run them all completely out of fuel at one time or another. Interestingly someone on one of the facebook groups was insistent their 2002 did but I don't know if that's true and if so how it's been achieved.
Post 2005 I believe they all have one.

And after running completely out of fuel today (again!) I can confirm the tank capacity of my 2003 Jimny to the top of the filler neck is 38 litres.

Busta - thats such dedication to this topic! You really didn't need to go and do that
I assume still no low fuel warning lamp then?

Seriously though - it must be a huge PIA running out of fuel.
I was working a late shift at RAF Benson and when we'd finished, one of the lads decided we should pop into Oxford for a kebab (a distance of around 13 miles), so we all piled into his Dolomite Sprint and in the middle of nowhere, ran out of fuel!
We weren't impressed
I think by the time we'd sorted it out even the damned kebab van had shut up shop and gone home it was so late.

IF IT AINT BROKE, KEEP FIXING IT UNTIL IT IS

I always have fuel cans in the car, either for chainsaws or mowers or whatever, so it's no trouble really. And I rarely get as far as town in the Jimny so I always leave it to the last minute.
