cheers GF, kind thought bud, ive been on with the 1.6 again and swapped the coil packs fr0m the 1.6 so fingers crossed. Liam

I think I have the same problem my Jimny runs for a few miles then cuts out then starts after a few minutes and goes for another few miles before doing the same. Is it usually the coil pack that is to blame?

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

That is usually the crank sensor between the alternator and the block. If you pour cold water on it when the engine stops it should restart within a few seconds.

i swapped engines facade to the 1.6 and the all seems ok now i suspect it was the coil packs?? then had a leaking / blocked 1.6 injector which needed replacing and shes good now, burnt the cat converter out like so getting a new one under warranty thou , yippie! cheers bud , liam.
