If your unsure, call in to a tyre shop and ask for advice. I'm certain they will help with identifying the correct fittings for your wheels and probably be able to supply them at reasonable price.

Possibly get them to mount the wheels for you, my local tyre shop charges £15 to change a tyre, fit a new valve, balance and re fit to the car.

If I were at all uncertain about doing it, I'd move the responsibility to a specialist (engineers call it covering one's bottom).

I'd be a much happier driver knowing it had been done properly and you can always ask the tyre shop to show you the correct method of mounting the wheels when they are doing the job. As a driver, you should know, changing a wheel at the roadside does happen. Just ask, we all have to learn and they will happily show you.

No one is suggesting that you don't. What is being put forward is that if you have a concern and then have them looked at by a professional workshop if they're not happy with the way the nuts fit they'll tell you so and offer a solution but equally if they are happy with them and there's a problem down the line you have the reassurance that the wheels and nuts were examined by a professional workshop.
