Light wiring was created by Mole
Evening.
Now I not sure if it's me being a bit dumb iv gone to wire my front spots up to day and want them to work with high beam. I have usually just spurred off the main beam wire as a trigger for the relay But when I put a meter on the plug that goes to the bulb all 3 pins have 12volts but the build dosent light untill turned on in the cab. So this means I can us it as a trigger because the relay would constantly be on.

Why dose the power have 12 all the time to all 3 pins
Any help much appreciated wiring isn't my strong point

Thanks

Oh OK so if I want to use the hight beam as a trigger what would be the best way to do this spur off the wire from the stork in the cab?

Wire the relay in the same way as the lights. As the lights are earth switched then connect the earth side of the relay coil to the switched feed to the lights and a permanent live to live side of the relay coil.

Think upside down to "normal" wiring

just connect pin 86 to the white wire with a coloured stripe going to the headlight. or better a fused positive supply through a switch, and pin 85 to the all red wire going to the headlight.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)
