Hello

I have an issue on my 2005 Jimny, occasionally the steering will lock and not allow you to turn. It doesn't lock so you can only go straight, but it won't allow you to turn one way i.e. I was trying to turn off a roundabout but it wouldn't turn left, it allowed me to turn right, so i carried on around and then it let me turn left. But it has locked the other way and I haven't been able to turn right. This is an intermittent problem but is becoming more frequent. Has anyone experienced this issue or have any ideas as to what the problem might be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Could be a CV joint has failed.

Yes sounds like a broken CV joint to me too.

Has it made any strange noises whilst being used in 4wd recently?

Yes there has been a clunk sometimes on tight turns.
