Ordered my Custom Number plate a couple of days ago. They are fairly pricey here in Victoria Australia. Mine cost $497.00 and I have a wait of 3-5 weeks. No idea why it takes so long to stamp out a metal plate :pinch:
Years ago I had one made that read as MYX-SUX but inspired people such as myself can no longer do that, probably cos of inspired people like myself. :whistle:
Anyway, I live in Cowangie which is 10 minutes drive North of The Big Desert and 15 minutes drive South of the Murray-Sunset National Park. Always out in the deserts in my lil ol Jimny Ragtop.
The Number Plate...for Jimny from Cowangie
The Jimny...
Yep, powered by a Baleno G16B 1.6litre engine...
What I saw North of me this arvo. Was 29° and a very pleasant day...
Kangaroos going for it
Plenty of Lizards...
There were also plenty of Emus but they were to fast for me to get any pics of them. Was only out there for an hour or so.

Plates are cheaper than over here, around £500 for an entry level plate. However "delivery" is instant as you get a digital certificate that can be immediately used.
Mine - ML12 NES is what would be a standard issued plate, not considered special. Indeed if I had not reserved it then it would have been randomly allocated (effectively for free) to a new vehicle in Manchester. I purchased it in 2012 to go on a new 2012 car so it was not even an "out of the normal" action for a new car but because i wanted a specific number from the standard sequence I had to pay for the privilege
ML = Manchester registration area
12 = 2012 issue
NES = sequential alphabetic identifier,

Received the matching number plate for the Jimnys' Trailer today. $465 cheaper at about $30. :whistle:
Trailer Plate
Car Plate
Jimny Trailer, 7-leaf-spring, 3 grease nipples/set of springs in the leaf articulation shackles. One tonne rated Trailer.
Will fit the new trailer plate when it warms up. It is a bitterly cold 17°C at the moment and I am sitting under the Heat pump. :S
In Victoria, 6' x 4' trailers don't have to be registered and inspected, they just need a numberplate that identifies the owner. 3rd party insurance then derives from the driven vehicle. This is compulsory over here. Covers the drivers and passengers involved in any accident. Car insurance is not mandatory and is up to the individual. Trailers can also be registered on their own which saves a bit of time taking plates off and on, but costs $54/year. I'm a cheapskate
