Replied by sealine150 on topic Swift 1.6vvt engine into a 2007 vvt jimny project
I send the stock ECU to a developer team and they remap with m16 plan.
I use the blue injectors from SSS and i am plan to change the airbox and the maf case with a Φ56 in order to correct the messure of maf sensor.
Its my last chance to correct the detonation i use to have after 4000rpm or after hard push.
After that i will try an aftermarket ECU.
I also try to find if the M16 intake manifold can to fit to my jimny and after that a bigger throttle body.

OK then, the remap must be the problem by the sounds of it. Sounds like you need a standard jimny ECU (and that means also the ignition barrel and keys/locks need swapped to match the new ecu key coding), or your aftermarket suggestion.

I got my DTAfast ECU properly tuned on a rolling road by a specialist, its the only way to get anything like the correct fuelling mix into the engine for what inlet and exhaust it has. It is also an expensive thing to do properly.

Hello everybody and I need your help in the below issue : I put one SSS M16A from 2012 on my VVT Jimny from 2006. I got a lot of useful information from you and all the swap worked fine until I wanted to start the engine. I cannot started and my mechanic friend that is helping me told me that is a difference on the crank/cam sensor and the Jimny ECU cannot work with it.
Does anyone had this problem and how it was solved
Thank you in advance.

Yes this has been found before. Suzuki changed the trigger wheel on the swift in 2010. There was a way round it but I can't remember how. Have a search for trigger wheel and it should get you on the right track.

Swap the crank and cam trigger wheels.
