Can a Jimny cope with 1000 miles a month?

I was driving 1200 miles a month in mine for a while, no problems except I had to stop using it for a while because my insurance policy limits the mileage. The only real issue is that the trip home can take a while if you keep seeing 'byway' signs :-).

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

A Jimny would happily do 1000 miles a day if you wanted to. It would be tiring to drive but the car doesn't care. 1,000 miles a month is fairly average.

Bought mine last year as my winter runaround. Now it's summer the BM has hardly had a look in.
Absolutely love it to bits

If in doubt ...... Flat out ??

I bough mine on 60k, 4 years ago. Now on 125k. My monthly milage varies wildly, but at the moment I'm covering 54 miles a day, 5 days a week, just for work. I have a corrected 3" lift and noisy mud tyres. It all boils down to what you can cope with. You will give up before a jimny does ;)

in the first 3 years or so that dad ran the Jimny it did just about 17k in the last 2 and a bit i have run it it has just squeezed past 50k so i am doing about 13k a year and it is lovely, though i am somewhat prejudice as my other regular drive is an 18 year old defender 90 that essentially wrote the book on uncomfortable methods of transport. Oh and my Jimny is a vvt with leather and air so is actually a very nice place to be by general standards not just in comparison to the defender. Add to that its ability to do work on the farm and its one of the best small all-rounders available, unless you are wanting to carry people and cargo simultaneously then it is too small but for dogs and a driver and passenger it is perfect.
