can any MOT expert advise if I'll need to remove my tinted sun visor strip prior to submitting the car for its MOT ?

have had mixed messages

1.) if it encroaches into the wiper zone = fail (it does)

2.) sunstrips cant come lower than the internal sun visor when it's down (it doesn't)

easy enough to rip it off and fit another after the MOT as they're only £10, but would rather not it not necessary.

thanks MOT testers

;)

it will depend on the tester ;)

I would just ask them when I got there if they said it would not pass just take it off there and then ;)

Guess the trick is to find a short MOT tester who sits low down on the seat

When you say tinted how dark is it and does it fade from top to bottom? I have had cars with sun strip fades in the actual screen and one was failed as intruding on the sweep of the wipers so I just got a couple of shorter blades for the duration of the retest and then the next year used a different test center.
