Walesy it's 3 - nil (four including me) for mineral, don't know if you can even get semi-synthetic gear oil.

Finally got some time to do the diffs and the transfer box. Rear diff oil was brown and watery. Front diff oil was like new. Transfer box oil was like new but a little low. I guess the breather on the front diff has failed. As a quick fix i think i can fit some garden hose on it.
would that be right?
i'm going to run the car for a week then change the front diff oil again. All 3 level plugs wouldn't budge at first.
I had driven the car for several miles to get a little heat in the diffs. I got them out by using a mapp gas blowtorch to heat the area around the level plugs and then they came out easily.
