New to the forum and 1st question was created by walesy
Hi. Just bought a 2001 jimny with a 3" lift and decent new tyres. I'll probably have lots of questions but will try and check the FAQ's first.
I'm going to do the diffs and gearbox oils soon. My 1st question is about mineral diff oil. I've got a good price on some but I guess its probably had synthetic oil in there. Should I stick with the synthetic or should I flush it and use the mineral oi?. not sure about mixing them as i'm not sure if they'll react with each other.

Welcome along!
Just use what is recommended by Suzuki, listed in the owners manual - I can't remember what viscosity it is but it's not synthetic.
If you plan to use it off road at all you will be changing the diff oil regularly enough to make synthetic a waste of time.

Thanks for the replies. Daniel30. ta for the image. Already know the grades of oil. Just wondering if people go with mineral or semi -synth or is it all down to personal preference.
