So I ordered some 1.5" wheel spacers for my 2004 Jimny and I'm considering doing a 2" suspension lift. What I would like to know is what are the biggest size or best tyres that can be accommodated under the wheel arches of the stock suspension without modifying the wheel arches or the vehicle itself. I also would like to know the recommended tyre size if I was to add a 2" lift. I was doing some reading and I notice some persons saying that certain tyres can cause gearing. I would also like to know what is gearing and what causes it. thanks in advance. :)

Yup, 215/75 R15 are the biggest that will fit a standard Jimny and also the biggest that will fit with a 2 inch lift without trimming.

Contrasting opinion to pretty much most Jimny owners who go off road, don't lift it! In everything I've used mine for off road (from pay and plays, to standard green laning), I have not needed a lift. The best upgrades you can do are the tyres, mud terrains really make all the difference. I run 195/80 R15 Insa Turbos for off roading, and they are truly fantastic. From speaking to several people who trial Suzuki's with lifts, they say the time spent fixing bits that wear out faster don't make them worth the advantages of a lift. If you to fit bigger tyres, consider 'adjusting' the wings and wheel arches before plumping straight for a lift. Other problems will be it will not be as stable on road or off road, as lifting the centre of gravity is never good.

I'm sure many will disagree, but this is simply a well reasoned personal opinion, carefully considering the advantages and disadvantages of a lift. :)

Very true, a 2, 3 or 4" lift looks great, but the practicalities make it a massive pain, unfortunately. :(

Ruts are the reason for a lift.

The radius arm mounts on the chassis are such a low point and their position just inside the track of the wheels puts them at the high centre part of the ruts.

By lifting it you push them up and bigger tyres allowed by the lift brings it up further.

I speak from personal experience.

I do however share your sentiment and dislike having to use bigger tyres. Unfortunately bigger tyres are fashionable and people's constant use of them creates ruts whereby you need them just to get about. I'm happy to miss out the odd lane I have planned if the ruts seem too deep but I have reasonably big tyres so can get most places. People we Lane with and my Mrs always want to do everything though.
