Aerial Alternative? was created by Grego
I snapped my aerial reversing in the woods (twice) and know I will do it again, but as the Jim aerial is not cheap to replace has anyone fitted a flexie alternative to the existing mounting?

You can get a box that lets you use a CB antenna.

Not the existing mount but in the middle rear of the roof.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration
It's one of these, used in conjunction with std cb antenna

Thanks all, Well explained, will look into it and probably fix it to the original mount where the aerial has snapped off and tie it to the roofbar so I'm ok reversing

You can get an aftermarket replacement Jimny aerial on ebay for about a tenner I think. Straight forward replacement.
I have the box to use the cb aerial above though and it does give better reception.
