hi there currently looking at buying a halfords advanced 200 piece socket set for £150 just wondering if use my trade card will i get discount for tools? if anyone has the answer that would be great
Trade card does work on full price tools but in the past it didn't really offer any meaningful benefits if the product was available on a deal. Ask for a quote it might not be much of a difference but it all helps.

The trade prices run separately to retail offers, occasionally you'll find some items are more expensive on trade when there is a good retail offer on.
The Halfords tool kits are tip top though, they have a no quibble guarantee now on all the new kits. I really like them.
I'm sure I've been told before that the halfords qarenty doesn't cover moving parts so if a rachets insides go it's not replaced but does seam some workers don't know this and replace anyway I have one of the tool boxes with the trays of tools in you can buy the trays of tools separately and fit in the draws nicely I think the sets are the same as the closing box ones your on about but just in tray form they also do spanners and screwdriver sets that fit to but the screwdrivers are crap
Just looked it up and moving parts are not covered. I have had a 1/4 drive ratchet replaced by a spotty teenager tho also had a few sockets replaced with no trouble. Ratchet internals can be bought cheep and easerly replaced I think my 3/8 insides were about £7
