Can anybody tell me how the search facility works. I have tried to find the history from the forum on alt belt failures and crankshaft(lower) pulley failures and it comes up with no hits. I know these subjects have history but how do you access it?
I am afraid the search facility built into this system is notoriously poor.

Thanks for that Martin. I mistakenly thought that the more words in a search the better! Can the search engine on the forum not be improved then? It is probably why we get repetitive requests for quite often the same problems as they have tried searching to no avail.
The problem is that the software that runs the site is all based on packaged products. What I have done is combine all the packages together to create the website but not written the packages themselves and I only have "high level" programming capability and not deep programming knowledge to correct the code.
I can report bugs and get them fixed etc. but where the facility "works" such as search then the developers will not fix it as they do not see it as broken unfortunately.
