hi guys recently my jimmy has had some issues with starting ,it turns over for about 5 seconds and then sounds like the battery is completely drained and it doesn't have enough power to turn over anymore ,initially i thought it could be a dying battery so i purchased a bosch battery from euro car parts and hooked it up after giving it a full charge ,unfortunately no change so iv eliminated the possibility of it being a dodgy battery , the thing is the jeep will bump start no problem first time but will not start with jump leads just looking for ideas thanks in advance

Once the engine oil is warm it could turn over ok even with a knackered motor and battery, its the thick cold oil that adds resistance, altho starters can also give up instantly when their time is up
