I didn't have to either when I fitted 195/80/15 KL71s to my standard(ish) Jimny runaround - I did however have to remove them when I installed 32mm wheel spacers as well and a 2" lift.

ive fitted 195 80 15 MT you just have to give it a few more revs to get the performance
and play with tyre pressure till it feels right
i settled for 25psi on all 4 corners for road use ;)
and the speedo is bang on now

Ah ok! I had to remove the front mudflaps to fit 215s but it would seem this isn't always the case then!

Agreed, I run 25psi all round aswell.
