Hey guys !

so basically recentley sold my car to get something with a smaller engine and a suzuki jimny has came to mind !

My questions are before I go look at one is will a bike fit in the back, room for the dogs(lab) and also do some camping ( not everything in the car at the one time :) ! I now I can get a lot of cars that will do the trick but think theses are a bit diffrent :)

Thanks for the replys in advance !!!!

Hi Morrin, welcome to the forum, another for the Irish contingent. I down in Waterford. I did the same thing as you, I wanted a smaller engined vehicle with offroad capability and able to fit the dogs in and do a bit of towing. Now unless you're riding a monkey bike, you'll struggle getting a adult bike in the back, my dogs fit in ok(lab and jack russell), they're certainly not blessed with masses of room and I'm thinking of getting a small towable dog box for them, mainly because they're destroying the boot with mud and water. As for your camping gear, put the seats down and load it up, that's all we do. Hope this helps.

Cheers
Mike

I passed another Jimny yesterday that had a mountain bike in the back, dont know what sort of black magic they used to get it in but apparently its possible. You would be far better off getting a attachment for your towball to carry a bike as it would be far less effort.

Hi Ian, I'll have a look at it in a minute. Ye fuel economy is ok, just depends on how heavy your right foot is. The heavier the foot, the higher the revs, the heavier the fuel consumption. I don't have any kms per gallon info, but I know the less I scream the nuts of it trying to get to 100kmh, the longer I get from a tank of fuel.

Cheers
