Suzuki kingpins and seals vs OEM? was created by Sandspider
Hi all
My Jim went in for an MOT today, and it needs a kingpin bearing. The garage prefer to fit genuine Suzuki bearings and seals (at £80 - £100 each) rather than OEM / aftermarket (at £30 odd), as they say the OEM ones don't last as long / work as well / are harder to fit. Anyone else had this problem?
I don't want to pay Suzuki prices if the OEM stuff is as good or nearly as good, but if the garage is right I don't mind going for the genuine Suzuki bearings...
Cheers.

Yep, that's one of the ones I'm talking about. The garage say they're not as good as the genuine Suzuki ones... (They said the oil seal is hard to fit / doesn't seal very well...) Has anyone compared Suzuki & OEM?
Cheers.

it clearly says "This kit consists of the genuine Koyo Bearings, as fitted by Suzuki. These are not "white box" or Chinese copies."
