Ok, I've got my own thoughts on this but just want to put it out there to see what any experts might say.... 
So, I have some mild steel to paint from scratch.
What would you recommend to start with, primer, red oxide, etc, etc etc.
I was going to clean the steel, red oxide it, then a few brush coats of Rustolium satin black followed by a few coats of spray on satin black to cover the brush marks, if any.
Any (within reason) suggestions appreciated.
