Any one know what this sensor does? It's a 1.3 dohc 16v The jimny still runs fine, the same as normal?? It sits down the side off alternator at side but front off the block, Cheers

Have you unplugged it or does it just sit there? Looks more like a connector.

The other half is in the block, it's rounded with one bolt holding it in?? Thought it was crank sensor at first but don't know now as runs fine, I'll get new one tomorrow but just wondered what is was lol

I snapped it off earlier when I was adjusting the fan belt, put the bar down the side off alternator to move it over nod heard a snap and it was that

Its a knock sensor it will run without it but it does need replacing if it's broken
