Could the Latest Model May Be the Last? was created by mwright999@hotmail.com
Has anybody heard any FACTS regarding this current model may be the end of the Jimny series? What will replace it and will it still be a genuine 4x4. I note the Vitara went 4 wheel drive. Any info please.

The Jimny has finished in Oz because it doesn't have traction control as required on all new cars in Australia. Last sales were November 2013. This may have happened or going to happen in the UK too.

I'm suprised it's lasted so long due to the crash protection for pedestrians. Then again I suppose the same could be said for the 4wd pick ups on the market as I'm thinking it's the ladder chassis that might be a bit hard to bang your head on at speed!
The Jimny does have a crumple bit I suppose and I think the GV is still made on a ladder chassis is it not?
I might be a but off the mark and have possibly just argued well against my own thoughts!

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

Australia has an updated Jimny coming with ESP; I'm amazed that the Jimny is still around, its an ancient design. I guess that Suzuki just don't have the money to develop a new small 4x4, especially after the joint agreement with VW was a disaster. There are a lot of new models due but mainly based on the Swift platform.

You'd think they could have updated it for comparatively little extra cost.
