I'm still yet to test drive a Jimny, so I will have to do that in the near future and see how comfortable I am without the seat mod first :D

Oh gosh, I forgot.

Well, for what it is worth, I found it cramped sideways and longways and still do. With a coat on I can't shut the door easily though it is better now I am sat in the back seat - almost. I find it hard to get my arm down to insert the ignition key and the seat belt clip is always taking my jacket with it. And steering it is a bind too as my elbows are stuck in the little gap and I drive with nearly straight arms. Bet you'll love the test drive though!! ;)

sounds to me like you need a bigger car!!!!

And you'd be right Alex. I was just today thinking about selling the Jimny. A high up motor with lots of room yet small and easy to maintain. I want auto. I want cheap tax. I want economy. I want cheap to buy. And last, I want 4x4. Back to Vitaras innit.

They are bigger than the moronic "professional" reviews suggest. Four six-footers are OK in one - you can't say that for an Audi A1, which is useless except for toddlers in the back.

Hi all, first post been lurking for a bit.

I'm not sure if I'm about to get whinged at for reviving a thread or not, some forums are di-hard search users and others seem to have funny rules with thread revival. Anyway, enough of that.

I've just bought a 2002 O2 Jimny. BF Goodrich MT 28 inchers and a 2 inch suspension lift. Seems alright so far for what I'm doing, the lift probably wasn't even necessary. Issue comes from being 6'4" with a 35" inside leg. The top of my head has about 5mm of clearance from the bar that runs between the B pillars and separates the two roofs, this leads to bumping over rough ground, my thoughts were to put an old camping roll mat along the strip, but that would result in constant head rubbing. My right knee rubs on the window switches, which from reading this would seem like a common complaint. I was going to get a Vit, but the Jimny was calling out to me instead.

Is there a way of dropping the seat a smidgeon and then my legs should sort themselves out without having to move the switch, unless there is a neat way of relocating it.

Thanks a lot!

Welcome to the forum blimey yeah not much room in the jimny for you! :) I suppose you could take out the seat and change it for something lower and bolted directly to the floor?
