When we got our jimny it beeped if the key was in the ignition and the door was open. This drove the old man mad so he had the dealers make it stop. I think all they did was unplug the door switch. Is there a way to get the same result of no beep but not have the doors randomly lock themselves and have the interior light work. Yes I know I can take the key out but if im in the middle of a field with the radio on and the doors open then not beeping is good.

Ahhh the ever ellusive beep beep,does my head in!!! Some say theres a wire under the dash.ive followed a few "guides" but none apply to my jimny bizarly :evil:

I traced that horrid beep to a green wire in the main harness to the ignition one snip and its gone.

Mine don't beep...... Wish it did, the amount of times I leave my light's on is unreal :lol:

Mine still makes the noise when lights left on just not when the keys are in.
