Thx for the replies, airbags not deployed.

I've asked him, when the ins offer/payout, if he can buy it back.

People interested in buying as a whole, parts or fix and sell on.

I recently tried to buy a car back from the insurance and they wanted £3000, it was a volvo s40 2.4, car was mint pre fire of the dash. Worth about £6000 before the fire and paid out 5k.
£3000 was not worth it for me to break.
I dont think they like the owner to buy their cars back after the pay out.

I myself would always buy a write off jimny if cheap enough.

Body and engine would have been good, interior and electrics scrap, a breaker wont pay more than a couple of hundred.
