So your Airbag light would fail due to its absense on turn on would be my interpretation????
Wrong its a pass the sequence of the bulbs doent come in to it any more if it not on its not testable
The crazy thing about the new airbag rule is if the light stays on its a fail, so take the bulb out and it's now a pass.

RichiesJimny wrote: Another crazy amendment is the shock absorber has a negligible damping effect is no longer a failure. We tested a Renault Laguna last week and the rear shocks where shot giving no damping effect at all. If we had tested this car today we would have had to pass it as there was no fluid leak from the shocks ( only because there was no fluid left in them ) so a car that was unroad worthy yesterday is now safe to drive because VOSA changed the rules. I'm sure the people at VOSA that wrote the test manual have never worked on a car.
Reson for this is due to the damage to wings and bumpers etc from pushing down but if the fluid was leaking then you can fail it on that even if it has signs of leakage also advise it as dangerouse
