As above, anyone else on here into their detailing and keeping the paint of their jimnys looking good?

The jimny is my second car and I've always enjoyed keeping my mini in tip top shape!

My Jim is very faded red, had a go with my machine polisher the other day and the bonnet went from this

To this

It was too cold to hit the rest of the car but once the bonnet was done I protected it with FK1000P sealant which has good anti UV protection to hopefully stop the fading!

That is an impressive transformation. Although, wouldn't keeping the Chaplaincy badge have avoided possible parking tickets?

Thanks! Single stage red paint is awesome to work on, very easy to bring the finish back. Haha I didnt think of that!! The jimny came with a bible in the back too, left that in there for luck!

I detail mine with twigs and mud, gives it a lovely finish :woohoo: (actually it really does need polishing)

Good effort on the red, do you think it will stay red? I remember doing a similar thing to an old polo. Whole day polishing and it looked lovely. 3 days later it was back to the way it was :pinch:
