Hi,

I'm planning to put a RotrexTM C15-16 on a Jimny JB43 (1.3 M13AA). I don't want a huge power and torque increase since it's my wife's car.

To my knowledge 660 cc JB23s use IHI which particular model I don't know.

What do you know of it guys? Would it work instead of an already tried and proven RotrexTM C15-60?

Thanks

Blimey seems like a lot of work are you planning to use a stand alone engine management to run the engine ?

Thank you

Do you think an M16A engine swap would cost me less in money and time? As long as it costs me less than 3 grand (US$) I'd be willing to pay!

Or should I leave it and take it AS IS? :(

Yes a M16A would defo be a easier swap but to be honest if you have got that sort of money to spend i could do you a Diesel conversion and you would still have money left for other toys :)

Diesel is out of question. For me only 3 way upgrade is possible

1. A supercharger
2. An M16A swap, or
3. An M15A swap

I can find an M16A or an M15A easily and intact. The problem with diesel is the transmission as my wife can only drive automatic. I don't want to get into other stuff than the motor.

How about wiring and other stuff with an engine swap? Do I have to work a lot?

BTW thanks a lot for the info :)

Ok i beleive the M16 to be more or less a straight swap may be worth asking that exact question on the Forum as good few people have done it
As for super charging it dont know how you would map the engine without having a stand alone engine management and to be honest you would probably have to also drop the compression ratio with the forced induction.
For a stand alone system and a good mapping session on the rolling road that would knock a good hole in you budget before you even get involved in the mechanics of it

You say you cannot find a M16 engine what is your location ?
