some buying advise please was created by steve_h
Hello everybody,

I don’t own a Jimny at the moment and by the looks of the picture thread I’m not going to be owning one which you will be familiar with any time soon either, however I still think this is the best place to come for the questions I want to ask.

I am having a bit of an infatuation moment with jeep style vehicles (probably a mid-life crisis creeping in) but couldn't find a good choice to buy.
Between the mega expensive, gas guzzling original jeep, an old beaten up yet STILL overpriced landy, or a cheap, deathtrap waiting to happen Chinese buggy replica I was beginning to think it was time to give up.
Then I came across these in japan: (little jimny 660cc)

I'm sold completely lol, i'm already making arrangements to bring one in but my question is do you think these would sell well in this country?
Is there a market for them from your experience as an off road forum?

I want to make it clear i'm not fishing for business or sales at all, i was just thinking of bringing a few extra ones over but if i had a knowledgeable community telling me it would be a waste of time then i wouldn't bother.
These models are the 1990+ 660cc ones, but i was also looking at the older 550cc models as well, the best ones are all about £4000 - £5000 to buy - just to give you a reference.

If you're thinking hey i'm not helping this fool make money or pedal your business elsewhere, i completely understand and i apologise i just thought i would ask not only an off road forum but a jimny off road forum on what potential they thought these little jimny's had over here.

Again sorry for the business centered first post, but hopefully future ones will be better.

thanks for any advise

steve
