I agree with you that the wall thickness has no reassuring appearance.
For greater security, I'm going to calculate by the method of finite elements (FEM)
This tested on numerous off-road crossings.

Ian my arms came with triangular cut outs.
The arms are £260 including bushes and delivery from Rays.
