This is what I used on my old Mini & the bottoms of two gensets I did last summer.
This might not be the right way but I took the lid off the metal can of Waxoil, heated it up with a blow torch to turn it to liquid & then poured it in to the sprayer & sprayed away! You have to be quick or it turns back to wax as it cools!
Rinse the sprayer out with white spirit when finished & don't spray the exhaust!!!

those ratlle cans are pretty useless, they clog up really easy and are not very easy to use. I don't know if they still do it but waxoyl used to sell a hand pump sprayer thing to go on top of a normal can of waxoyl.
Edit: I just googled it... This is what i was thinking of

Don't know if its any good but if you have a big area to do it might be worth investigating.

One word of caution with using the Shultz.type under seal spray cans used with air lines.
I tried to spray inside the chassis legs on a Morris minor. I extended the nozzle by fixing a 6ft length of plastic pipe onto the end . The idea being to insert the pipe into the chassis leg all the way to the far end. Then start spraying. While withdrawing the pipe. Good idea in theory, but the Shultz can blew up. Something to do with the pipe being to long for the can I was using.
I never rusted for 12month after that and a quart of Waxoyl goes a long way in someone else's lovely white garage.
So beware.

Over the years we have tried all sorts - waxoyl with a brush, rarrle cans for under arches, schulz gun and compressor.
Ratle cans and schultz tins work best in warmer weather or after standing for 10 minutes in boiling water, air compresor gives best results and is much faster.
